Overview of Team Policies
Varsity Games:
There is no equal varsity playing time guarantee on this team. Coaches will determine varsity playing time during the training sessions leading up to every game based on observation of the following items. If a need arises to reduce our roster size, we will utilize the same criteria to make cuts: 1. Basic and Advanced Individual Skills  Basic Individual Skills  Catch  Pass/Shoot/Throw  Scoop  Cradle  Dodge  Advanced Individual Skills  Defensive Shape  Off Ball Movement  Anticipation of Passes/Shots  Moving to Space  etc. 2. Physical Fitness  Agility  Coordination  Reaction Time  Speed  Aerobic/Anaerobic Cardiovascular  Muscular Endurance 3. Intelligent Aggressiveness. 4. Tactical Knowledge/Awareness/Application. 5. Team Communication on and off the field. 6. Coachability in a variety of settings like training activities/following directions, skill, and tactical correction after coaching directives etc.
We do not accept outside intervention from parents regarding playing time. If any parent is unwilling to allow our qualified coaching staff to make playing time decisions, please do not have your daughter continue playing on the team. Please allow your daughter to improve on her own without artificial intervention. Sports carry tremendous real-world value and when parents unnecessarily intervene, that value is greatly reduced.
Do not approach coaches for impromptu meetings. This includes parents before and after games as well as players during games. Please wait 24 hours after a game to email Coach Kile if you have comments, concerns, or questions. If there is an immediate threat to your child, please email, text, or call Coach Kile right away. We handle all other issues internally as a team. Please allow your daughter to practice captaining her own vessel without a parent creating real world consequences in an environment that should be safe for athletes to begin preparing for adulthood.
The main points of contact and information for the team will be a team group text and our team email

 The use of banned substances is prohibited and includes energy drinks, performance enhancing drugs, etc.
 Respect others and their possessions. If you are unsure what this means, please ask coaches before you act.
 Take care of school and team property.
 There are no rights-of-passage/initiation rituals related to this team and hazing of any kind is prohibited as adopted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's General Assembly Act 175.
 We follow all CSD policies regarding bullying, attendance, academics etc.
Violations by any parent or player of these and other policies that we will present during the season are grounds for immediate removal from the team.
Coaches will work hard to provide meaningful, engaging, and productive activities during each training session. It is the job of coaches to assign what we believe is appropriate playing time during varsity games using the criteria outlined above.
Each player's job is to come to every session prepared to find joy in training and team camaraderie while learning and developing skills, tactics, and physical fitness. Athletes and parents who focus solely on playing time to find joy, will never experience fulfillment with interscholastic athletics . The most successful athletes I coached have a common drive to train and play anywhere, anytime, and at any level. Their passion for sport runs far deeper than playing time only.
Each parent has the job of supporting his/her child and the team.
